A 30-year technology veteran, Masood Jabbar has held a variety of management positions with public companies and currently serves on the board of directors for Openwave Systems Inc. and Picsel Technologies. His management career is anchored by 16 years at Sun Microsystems, where he held various executive positions, most recently as EVP of Sun's global sales operations. Immediately prior, Jabbar served as president and earlier as CFO of Sun Microsystems Computer Company, the business unit responsible for the development and delivery of desktop and server computing systems. While serving as CFO for this unit, Jabbar led its technology and business acquisitions activities and was responsible for business development and strategic alliances. Earlier he served as general manager for Sun's Interactive Products Group, VP of finance and planning for the worldwide field organization and director of marketing for the U.S. field operations. Prior to joining Sun, he spent 10 years at Xerox Corporation and three years at IBM in various finance and planning roles. Jabbar holds a bachelor's degree in economics and statistics from the University of Punjab in Pakistan and masters' degrees in business administration and international management from the American Graduate School of International Management. |
