Masayasu Kodama has been in the investment banking industry since 1992 focusing on M&A advisory, debt capital markets and project finance. Prior to joining Sagent Advisors, he was the General Manager of the Strategic Advisory Dept. 4 at Daiwa Securities SMBC and was responsible for day-to-day management of the department which focused on cross-border M&A. Prior to that, he held the position of General Manager in the strategic advisory department that concentrated on the real estate and hospitality industry. Prior to joining Daiwa Securities SMBC in 2001 he held various positions at Sakura Bank (currently Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation) including Senior Vice President, Capital Markets Division (1998-2000) where he was responsible for promoting domestic bond and Samurai bond business, and Vice President, International Finance Division (1995-1998) where he was responsible for promoting project finance focusing on power sector and big-ticket equipment lease finance. He began his career at Mitsui Bank in 1986. Masayasu is a 1986 graduate of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tokyo and earned his MBA in 1992 at the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration of the University of Rochester. He is a Chartered Member of The Security Analyst Association of Japan. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of Sagent Advisors Inc. in October 2007. |
