Masaru Hattori joined Daiwa Securities Co., Ltd. in 1967 and then moved to Sanyo Machine Tool Co., Ltd. in 1968 before joining ORIX in 1974. Hattori was appointed General Manager of the Accounting Department in 1991 and later became a Corporate Executive Officer in 1998. In June 2000, Hattori became the corporate executive officer responsible for the Office of Corporate Planning and the Accounting Department, while the Office of the President was added to his responsibilities in August 2000. In April 2001, Hattori was promoted to Corporate Senior Vice President and became Head of compliance and was also put in charge of the Accounting and General Affairs Departments. Hattori was in charge of the Accounting Department from April 2001 until December 2005 and managing the Corporate Planning Office from February 2004 until February 2005 when he was made the executive officer in charge. In January 2006, Hattori was promoted to the position of Corporate Executive Vice President. In August 2006, Hattori was made the officer responsible for the Internal Controls Audit, Internal Audit Department and Audit Committee Secretariat.
Hattori was born in 1945 and graduated from Nagoya University's School of Economics in 1967. |
