Mr. Masahiro Morimoto has thirty successful years of international business experiences in high technology business with a special focus on Japan and Asia Pacific. His broad experience includes general management, sales, marketing, and strategic planning. Mr. Morimoto has successfully set up and managed several Asia Pacific sales & marketing operations for U.S. major software corporations. Currently, Mr. Morimoto is Vice president of Field Sales Operations of Asia Pacific & Japan Region, Wily Technology, where he has served a member of the Advisory Board since 2002. Mr. Morimoto was a Vice President of the Enterprise Sales of Symantec Corporation, and he has been assigned to Symantec Japan to enhance the enterprise business in Japan. Mr. Morimoto was a Senior Vice President at Escalate Technologies, E-commerce application service provider, responsible for business development and international business operations. Since Netscape Communications Corporation's acquisition of KIVA Software in December, 1997, Mr. Morimoto has been Vice President & General Manager of Asia Pacific Region. Mr. Morimoto joined KIVA Software Corporation in July, 1997, where he served as Vice President of the International Field Operations. Since Informix Software, Inc.'s acquisition of Illustra Information Technologies, Inc. in February, 1996, Mr. Morimoto had been a Vice President of Informix in charge of the major/strategic account development & management in Japan and APAC. Before the acquisition, Mr. Morimoto was Vice President, the field operations for Asia Pacific Region and Corporate Officer for Illustra. Prior to joining Illustra, Mr. Morimoto was Vice President of Novell, Inc., developing and addressing the system software needs for the non-conventional Novell business environments such as retail market, office automation market and production automation market. The idea itself became known as NEST (Novell Enbedded System Technology), which is still a Novell's corporate mission. Mr. Morimoto was President of Digital Research (Japan) and Corporate Vice President of Digital Research, Inc. (DRI) until Novell acquired Digital Research, Inc. in 1991. He personally initiated and organized a consortium (ESOG) in the retail industry; the members include IBM, ICL, NEC, TEC, Siemens-Nixdorf, NCR, Matsushita, Omron and other EPOS vendors. Mr. Morimoto created Sony Microsystems, Inc., a division of Sony America and served as President. He was also a Vice President at Sony America where he was responsible for the North America marketing and field operations for all Sony computer-related products.
