Maryellen Paterson was first licensed as a real estate professional in 1983 in Ontario, Canada, where she sold both re-sales and new homes for 10 years. In 1993, she relocated with her family to Sarasota, Florida, and earned her Florida real estate license. Before joining Michael Saunders & Company in 2003, Maryellen was employed by the developer of Lakewood Ranch, SMR Communities, where she managed the then two Information Sales Centers, developed a highly successful Realtor program to produce over 65% co-broke sales, plus planned all events and promotions to generate traffic and sales at Lakewood Ranch. During her tenure at Michael Saunders & Company, Maryellen successfully managed two real estate offices east of I-75 before opening the new 15,000-square-foot Lakewood Ranch office on June 10, 2006.Maryellen is a current member of both the Manatee and Sarasota Associations of Realtors, the Florida Association of Realtors, and National Association of Realtors, and has earned the ePro designation. She also served on the Board of the Sarasota Women’s Council of Realtors as the VP of Membership and Recording Secretary, Manatee Home Builder’s Association Sales & Marketing Council, and the Builder Realtor Partnership Committee. She is currently on the events committee for the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance. Her community involvement includes 7 years with Manatee Community College Foundation’s Evening Under the Stars, 5 years with the Lakewood Ranch Community Fund Gala, 3 years with the American Lung Association’s Million Dollar Hole-in-One, and 2 years with the Florida West Coast Symphony Showcase of Homes. |
