Profile
MaryEllen Bishop a partner in the Estate and Business Succession Planning Group, representing clients in the areas of estate planning and administration, trust planning and administration, probate litigation, and individual and fiduciary taxation. She is certified as an Indiana Estate Planning and Administration Specialist by the Estate Planning and Administration Specialty Certification Board of Indiana. She served two terms on the Indiana Probate Code Study Commission under the appointment of Governors Frank O'Bannon and Joseph Kernan. Bishop is a Fellow of the Indiana State Bar Foundation and a Distinguished Fellow of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation. She received her juris doctorate from the Indiana School of Law - Indianapolis in 1982. She earned her bachelor of science degree in business from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business in 1979. Ms. Bishop is admitted to practice law before the Indiana Supreme Court, United States District Court, Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana; United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, American Bar Association and Estate Planning Council of Indianapolis.
