As the Creative Director, MaryAnna Donaldson is responsible for incorporating various elements, such as humor, to the games. Since 2002, she has been writing and translating scripts pertaining to the product's creative content.
Early in her career, she worked as a reporter at Bloomberg, where she covered the French, Belgian, and Swiss financial markets. Later, she moved to Japan where she worked as an art dealer at Aoi Arts and was involved in translation and editing services for various cable television programs in Tokyo.
Ms. Donaldson began her education studying liberal arts at Swarthmore College and finished up with an Economics degree from the University of Pennsylvania, having also studied at the Wharton School of Business. She later studied Theater in Paris and Fine Arts at the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia.
Ms. Donaldson speaks six languages. Her colorful educational and employment background fuels her inspiration as she helps to direct Artificial Life's various creative projects.
