Mary Lorencz lives only a half mile from JB&A offices, so at a moment’s notice she can bring her expertise to various accounts whenever it’s needed. That is, if she’s not enjoying her favorite burger at the Red Coat Tavern.
Prior to joining JB&A, Mary spent more than 30 years at Kmart Corporation, with 18 of those years in the corporate communications department. Her experience spans both internal and external communications having supervised the production of annual reports and employee publications, community relations, and most recently she was director of corporate media relations. Ask Mary about Michael Moore, Martha and Jaclyn Smith for some fun and interesting celebrity stories.
An involved professional, Mary is a past president and active member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Detroit Chapter and Inforum (formerly the Women’s Economic Club). Mary earned her bachelor’s degree in English at Michigan State University and her master’s degree in Public Relations at Wayne State University. She’s a Spartan- win or lose - and claims to have green blood.
Traveling is Mary's passion away from the PR world, as she states, "
It would be great to visit every continent in a lifetime! When she’s not traveling, she spends time with friends and family across Michigan and the U.S., and at home with Sabrina, her cat.
