Mary Flannery directs the Chamber’s public relations initiatives, which include regional economy building, public policy announcements, events promotions, advertisements, and web content. She joined GPCC in 2006. For more than two decades, she worked as a reporter and editor. She is the former Business editor at The Philadelphia Inquirer and worked at the Philadelphia Daily News as a healthcare and sports reporter. She also was a sportswriter for the New York Daily News, where she was the beat writer for the New York Islanders. In 2005, she worked as an advertising project manager for Philadelphia Newspapers Inc. A recipient of a Kaiser Media Fellowship, she co-authored Fountain House (Hazelden Press, 1996), a non-fiction account of a national program for people with schizophrenia. Mary is a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. |
