Mary Cockerill is the President and Chief Executive Officer of HKS Medical Information Systems. Mary Cockerill has more than 35 years of experience in medical technology, clinical laboratory information and automation systems, and private industry executive roles. She has experience in product development, operational management, implementation and sales as an entrepreneur as well as a national director of product management for a Fortune 200 company. Offering a rare blend of creative and operational strengths, Mary has helped to define the industry of clinical laboratory automation and informatics. Mary has a strong track record in the health information technology business and has experienced impressive results for the companies she has served. Mary comes to HKS from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Medicine, where she served as Project Director of a Department of Defense project whose goal was the development of a hardware and software platform to automate the rapid identification of human pathogens. Before joining UNMC, Mary served as the national Director of Professional Services, Laboratory Automation for Cardinal Health Pyxis Division and as President of Lab InterLink. Mary has a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of St Mary, her certification in Medical Technology and Clinical Chemistry, and has completed graduate work in Computer Science at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. |
