Mary Bagnall’s intellectual property law practice emphasizes considerable experience in all aspects of the protection, enforcement, and exploitation of brands, as well as advising on trademark availability and protection. She regularly works with substantial brand owners in the effective management of their brands.
Mary assists many clients with dispute resolution and with enforcement of brand rights, such as trademark opposition, revocation, and cancellation in UKIPO and OHIM. She handles infringement proceedings regarding registered and unregistered trademark, copyright and designs, and related rights, including appeals from UKIPO to the High Court and appeals to the Court of Appeal and the European Court of First Instance. She works proactively to help clients avoid disputes by advising on such matters as copy clearance, Internet advertising, and trademark licensing.
