Mary practices in the firm’s litigation section, with a focus on employment law issues. She has extensive experience counseling clients on federal and state employment laws including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the North Carolina Wage and Hour Act. She also routinely counsels clients on covenants not to compete, trade secrets, employment termination and severance, retaliation, drug testing, policies and handbooks, contract issues, and other employment matters.
Mary graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Davidson College. She received her J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she served as the Publication Editor of the North Carolina Law Review. |
