Mary became President of Mr. Rooter® Plumbing in October 2006. Mary, a former multi-unit franchisee and past president of national franchisor Cookies by Design, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the franchising industry to Mr. Rooter. In 1994, she opened her first Cookies by Design franchise in Austin, Texas. Before the corporate team recruited her to its home office in 2000, Mary earned awards for Top Performer, Outstanding Customer Service, and Master’s Award. Cookies by Design promoted her to president in 2004. Before Mary became a franchisee, she served eight years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Serving as a logistics officer, she achieved the rank of captain while on active duty and major in the reserves. Franchising is the great American dream.
