Ms. Sammons has been President and a member of Rite Aid’s Board of Directors since December 5, 1999 and Chief Executive Officer since June 2003. From April 1999 to December 1999, Ms. Sammons served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Fred Meyer Stores, Inc., a subsidiary of The Kroger Company. From January 1998 to April 1999, Ms. Sammons served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Fred Meyer Stores, Inc., a subsidiary of Fred Meyer, Inc. From 1985 through 1997, Ms. Sammons held several senior level positions with Fred Meyer Stores, Inc., the last being that of Executive Vice President. Ms. Sammons is a member of the Board of the National Association of Chain Drugstores and is a Director of First Horizon National Corporation and of The Rite Aid Foundation. |
