Mary F. Lovejoy was appointed vice president and treasurer of Textron in April 2000. She is responsible for overseeing the company's financing activities, global treasury operations, the investment of pension fund assets and Textron's insurance programs. In addition, she serves on Textron's enterprise-wide Finance Council.
During her career with Textron, Lovejoy has held key positions in the field of investor relations and communications. She joined Textron in 1993 as director of investor relations. In 1995, she was promoted to vice president, investor relations and in 1996, she assumed responsibility for all corporate communications activities.
Prior to joining Textron, Lovejoy was vice president and senior corporate banker at the First National Bank of Chicago. During her 16 years at First Chicago, she held a variety of positions at the bank's Chicago, Boston and London offices.
Lovejoy received a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. She is currently a member of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation's Rhode Island Advisory Board, a board member of the International Institute Rhode Island, and a board member for the Festival Ballet. Lovejoy is a past participant in the Textron Executive Development and the Advanced Management programs. |
