Mary advises clients on intellectual property and technology law. She prosecutes and litigates biotechnology and chemical patent and trademark applications. Mary counsels a wide range of publicly and privately-held enterprises on matters of licensing, trade secrets and unfair competition. Mary is an active member of the Cleveland Patent Law Association, as well as the American, Ohio and Cleveland Bar Associations. She served as a research associate in the department of molecular biology at Case Western Reserve Medical School from 1980 to 1982 while pursuing graduate course work in molecular biology, immunology and virology. Her graduate studies also included work in physiology and biochemistry at Cleveland State in 1980. From 1985 to 1990, Mary was an associate with the law firm of Weston, Hurd, Fallon, Paisley & Howley. Her tenure with Calfee began in 1991. She was a partner in the firm from 1995 to 2000, currently maintaining her practice as a senior attorney. |
