Mary concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial and residential real estate development. Her experience on the commercial side encompasses sales and acquisitions, development, community redevelopment, and leasing. Mary has represented both buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of a wide variety of commercial properties, including commercial office buildings and retail shopping centers, and has also assisted developers in all stages of the development process, from lot assemblage and replatting to construction and pad sales.Her background in residential real estate has included virtually all aspects of the development of single-family, condominium, and townhome communities in the greater Twin Cities metropolitan area. She serves on the Minnesota Community Interest Ownership Act Legislative Committee and is a member of the executive committee of ULI Minnesota (the local chapter of the Urban Land Institute, an international organization whose mission is to provide leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide). She also co-chairs ULI Minnesota’s membership committee.Mary joined Lindquist & Vennum in 2003 after practicing technology law for a decade in California and Minnesota. Her previous experience includes serving as general counsel for Nistevo Corporation, a privately held technology company in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and representing Oracle’s software-license and consulting-services divisions in both California and Minnesota. |
