Templeton is responsible for the legal affairs of the Company with the General Counsel. Ms. Templeton focuses on corporate projects and transactions of Discovery Labs, including securities law disclosures, financings and negotiation of project agreements. Prior to joining Discovery Labs, Ms. Templeton spent several years in private practice in New York law firms, specializing in business and securities transactions. Prior to that, Ms. Templeton served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel to The Charles Schwab Corporation and The Sequor Group Inc. (the securities processing group of Security Pacific Corporation). Previously, Ms. Templeton served as Director of Investment Company Products at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., where she established the first Mutual Fund Marketplace in the United States, and as Trust Officer of Bradford Trust Company. Ms. Templeton served as member of the Market Transaction Advisory Committee, created under the Market Reform Act of 1990, and was involved in a number of committees and task forces in the securities industry. Ms. Templeton holds a B.A. from Chatham College, where she is a member of the Board of Trustees, and a J.D. with High Honors from Rutgers University School of Law - Camden. She is a member of the Bar Associations of Pennsylvania and New York. |
