Mary Ann H. Smith joined the firm as a contract attorney in our Idaho Falls office in 2002. Her practice at Moffatt Thomas focuses primarily on the areas of general litigation, insurance defense, and business litigation. Ms. Smith has extensive experience in civil litigation, including municipal liability and insurance coverage cases; she has also worked in health services, medical malpractice, civil rights, labor matters, administrative procedures, drafting legislation, planning and zoning, and forensic issues. Prior to her work with Moffatt Thomas, she was employed for three years as a research chemist in the Analytical Laboratory at Argonne National Laboratory-West in Idaho Falls.Ms. Smith graduated magna cum laude from the University of Virginia in 1978 with a B.A. in English Language and Literature and summa cum laude from State University of New York at Albany in 1994 with a B.S. in Chemistry. She received her Juris Doctor in 1981 from Columbia University School of Law. Ms. Smith is admitted to the Washington, Massachusetts, New York, and Idaho State Bars. |
