From traditional blue chip corporations to the cutting edge of e-commerce, Mary Alice Taylor has held top leadership positions in both the "click" and "brick" economies. Taylor has retired from the position of chairman and CEO of online grocer HomeGrocer.com and is an active independent business executive.
Before joining HomeGrocer.com, Taylor served as a corporate executive vice president of Global Operations and Technology for Citigroup, where she was responsible for standardizing and centralizing worldwide operations and instigating quality and cost-effectiveness efforts.
Taylor also served at Federal Express for 16 years in a variety of senior management roles, including senior vice president of Central Support Services and senior vice president of Ground Operations, where she was responsible for all facets of pickup and delivery operations in North America. During her tenure at Federal Express, Taylor was responsible for planning and engineering operations systems, hub expansion and operations, global operations scheduling and control, and worldwide properties, construction, and real estate management.
Prior to her posts at Federal Express and Citigroup, Taylor held management positions with Shell Oil Company, Cook Industries, and Northern Telecom, Inc.
Taylor additionally serves as an external director on the boards of The Allstate Corporation and Blue Nile. She earned a BS degree in finance/accounting from Mississippi State University and CPA certification from the state of Tennessee. |
