Marvin S. Segal, MD, is a research clinician and a health care consultant, with interests in hospital, clinic, and health plan operations; cardiovascular clinical research studies; technology assessment; quality of care and utilization management activities; reimbursement and compensation topics; and physician relationship issues.
Segal received his BA, BS, and MD degrees from the University of Minnesota. He is a fellow in the American College of Physicians, the American College of Cardiology, and the American College of Physician Executives. Currently, Segal serves as a clinical professor at the University of Minnesota medical school.
In addition to Children’s, Segal has been a member of the boards of Mount Sinai Hospital, the Minnesota Kidney Institute, Temple Israel, and Select Care Health Plan; and has served as the president of the Hennepin Medical Foundation. Segal has also served Children’s as a physician volunteer with the Teen Age Medical Service (TAMS). |
