Biography
Marvin J. Wright CPA, CFP®, is a partner at the Evansville, Indiana office of Kemper CPA Group LLP. He has over 30 years of public accounting experience specializing in business, financial and tax consulting. Marvin received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Evansville. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner® and holds Series 7, 66 and 24 securities licenses, as well as health and life insurance licenses. He started his career with a national accounting firm, Touche Ross & Company. In 1983 he founded Wright Consultants, LLC, a local accounting and financial services firm as managing member. On December 1, 2007, Wright Consultants, LLC merged with Kemper CPA Group LLP.
Marvin is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, a past president of the Southern Indiana Chapter and past chairman of the Management Advisory Services Committee of the Indiana CPA Society. He is a member of the Kentucky Society of CPAs, the Institute of Business Appraisers, the Institute of Management Accountants, the Evansville Estate Planning Council and a past chairman of the USI Accounting Circle.
On a day-to-day basis, Marvin assists small-and-medium-sized businesses in achieving their goals of greater profitability and securing wealth care solutions for their owners and other individuals. Marvin is also an accomplished presenter; he has given numerous presentations dealing with financial statement analysis, management techniques, analytical tools, and retirement and estate planning. He has also taught several classes in the accounting and continuing education departments of the University of Southern Indiana.
