Marty M. McQuade is vice president and general manager DuPont Automotive Systems. He has more than 25 years experience in nearly every phase of the DuPont coatings business.
Mr. McQuade first joined DuPont in 1977 in Wilmington, Del. He was later named production planning supervisor of the DuPont Flint, Mich., paint production facility in 1979. Three years later, he became assistant manufacturing area supervisor at the plant. Mr. McQuade returned to Wilmington, Del., in 1983 as manufacturing planning analyst for the Finishes Division. After holding research and financial positions in both Philadelphia, Pa. and Wilmington Del., he was promoted to Automotive Finishes manufacturing manager for DuPont Automotive in Troy, Mich.
In 1988, Mr. McQuade was named business support and planning manager for Automotive Finishes. Three years later, he was appointed DuPont Automotive Finishes North American Business manager in Troy, Mich. From 1995 to April 1999, McQuade was managing director of DuPont Automotive Coatings Europe, in Bonn, Germany. In this post, McQuade was responsible for DuPont Automotive OEM Coatings activities in Europe, including marketing, sales, research and development, along with manufacturing and support services. In 1999 he was named director DuPont Herberts Automotive Systems Americas. He was named to his current position in April 2003.
McQuade is a native of Fort Madison, Iowa. He holds a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech and a master's degree in business administration from Georgia State University.
