As member of the Moka5 board of advisors, Dr. Martin Rinard brings more than 20 years of academic and hands-on experience in the high technology industry. He is currently a Professor in the MIT Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and a member of the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University for research in the design and implementation of parallel and distributed programming languages. Dr. Rinard participated in two startup companies, including Ikan Systems, where he was a member of a team developing a computerized publishing system and Polygen Corporation, where he was a member of a team developing a computer-aided drug design system. His current interests include compilers, software engineering, programming languages, program analysis, parallel and distributed computing, real-time and embedded systems, computer systems, and bioinformatics. He has published over 90 papers on a variety of topics in computer science. He was selected as a Sloan Foundation Research Fellow in 1995 and received a National Science Foundation Early Career Development Award in 1997. |
