Martin Gibson is a Partner on the technology team and joined Atlas Venture in 2000. He focuses on investments in semiconductors, communications and systems.
Previously, he was a manager and consultant at Scientific Generics, a business & technology consulting firm based in Cambridge, UK, turning technology ideas into commercial products. Earlier in his career, while at start-ups Cellstack and Madge Networks, he was responsible for datacomms products for enterprise markets. He also worked within ANSI and the ATM Forum defining new standards.
He sits on the boards of DisplayLink, Phyworks and Zinwave, where he was the lead investor, and also works closely with Azea Networks, Icera Semiconductor, Orthogon Systems, RadioScape, Ubiquisys and xelerated.
Martin has an MBA from Cranfield School of Management, a BA in Electrical & Information Science from Cambridge University and is also a Chartered Engineer.
