Dr. Emanuele joined Kémia in November, 2006 with over 19 years of management experience in publicly traded pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Prior to joining Kémia, Dr. Emanuele was Vice President, Business Development and Portfolio Management with Avanir Pharmaceuticals. While at Avanir, Dr. Emanuele completed partnerships with major global pharmaceutical companies that ranked among the largest transactions completed for preclinical stage technologies. Prior to Avanir, Dr. Emanuele held several senior management positions in research and development and business development with CytRx Corporation and before that with Dupont Critical Care. Dr. Emanuele earned his Ph.D. in Pharmacology & Experimental Therapeutics from Loyola University of Chicago and an MBA from the University of Colorado. |
