Mr. Smiley joined mPhase Technologies as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel in August 2000. With over twenty years experience as a corporate finance and securities attorney and as an investment banker, Mr. Smiley serves as mPhase's strategic financial leader. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Smiley served in various financially-related capacities, including a Principal at Morrison & Kibbey, Ltd., a mergers and acquisitions and investment banking firm, a Managing Director for CIBC Oppenheimer Securities, a Vice President of Investment Banking at Chase Manhattan Bank, and a Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Chrysler Capital Corporation. Mr. Smiley graduated with a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania and earned his law degree from University of Virginia School of Law. |
