Martin M. Coyne II took early retirement from the Eastman Kodak Company in July 2003. He joined Kodak in 1986 upon its acquisition of Sterling Drug, and served most recently as Executive Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company and Group Executive of the $9 billion Photography Group. In October 2000, he was named Executive Vice President of Eastman Kodak and President of the $6 billion Commercial Business Group. In September 1995, he was named Senior Vice President of Eastman Kodak and President of the Health Imaging Division.
In addition to his diversified imaging experience at Kodak, Mr. Coyne has almost 30 years experience in the healthcare industry, including the establishment and operation of his own healthcare consulting business, M.M. Coyne and Associates. He has also held numerous positions in sales, sales training, advertising, marketing, international marketing and general management.
Mr. Coyne joined the Board of Akamai in 2001 and currently serves as Lead Director. He is an advisor to Investcorp, a private equity investment firm, and serves on the Board of Directors of Avecia Group Plc.. He is also a member of the board of OpenPages, a leading provider of enterprise governance, risk and compliance management (GRCM) solutions that optimize internal controls, reduce risk exposures and empower effective corporate oversight.
Mr. Coyne is a Senior Business Advisor to Body1, a leading on-line health information network. He previously served as Chairman of the Board of Welch Allyn and also was a member of the Board of Directors of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), serving on the Executive Committee, International Committee and Membership Committee.
Mr. Coyne earned a B.S. degree in Pharmacy from Fordham University in 1971 and an MBA degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1985. He also attended the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School of Business in 1989. |
