Martin L. Wilkinson is Vice President, Information Technology of Deere & Company. He was named to the position in May 2005. In his position, Wilkinson is responsible for John Deere's worldwide information technology infrastructure. This includes delivering best-in-class quality and value in information technology services, and integrating leading edge information technologies in the company’s business processes.
He joined Deere & Company in 1977 as an auditor, and has held positions of increasing responsibility in finance, information technology, strategic planning and operations in all of John Deere's equipment divisions, including overseas assignments. In 2003, Wilkinson was appointed to his most recent position as general manager of the John Deere Davenport Works.
A native of Ottumwa, Iowa, Wilkinson is a graduate of St. Ambrose University, with a bachelor of arts in accounting. He is also a CPA, and received a Master's degree in management in 1995 from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
