C. Martin Harris, MD, MBA, is the Chief Information Officer and Chairman of the Information Technology Division of The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Additionally, Dr. Harris is Executive Director of e-Cleveland Clinic, a series of e-health clinical programs offered over the Internet. Nationally, Dr. Harris serves as the Chairman of the National Health Information Infrastructure (NHII) Task Force of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), the largest information and management systems society in the world. He is also the Chairman of the Foundation Board for the e-Health Initiative, a public policy and advocacy group established to encourage the interoperability of information technology in healthcare. Dr. Harris received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. His residency training in general internal medicine was completed at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He also completed a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar fellowship in General Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and holds a Master's in Business Administration in Healthcare Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. |
