Martha Goldberg Aronson was named Senior Vice President and Chief Talent Officer in March 2008. In this role she has responsibility for Medtronic’s global human resource function and will lead the company’s efforts in managing its most important asset global talent.
Prior to this role, Martha served as Vice President of Investor Relations where she was responsible for coordinating and managing relationships with shareholders, and serving as the primary spokesperson within the investment community. She joined Medtronic in April 1991, first working in corporate development and strategic planning as a business analyst, then holding numerous positions in urology and the company’s Vascular business. Martha then served as Vice President and General Manager of Medtronic Gastroenterology/Urology in Minneapolis, and gained international business expertise as Vice President of the Neurological, Gastroenterology/Urology, Obesity Management, ENT/Neurologic Technology and Diabetes businesses in Western Europe. Prior to joining Medtronic, she was an associate consultant at Bain & Company, a global management consulting firm.
Martha graduated phi beta kappa and magna cum laude from Wellesley College with a bachelor’s degree in economics. She earned her master’s in business administration from Harvard Business School in 1995. She currently serves as a member of the Business Leadership Council of Wellesley College and has served in a variety of alumnae leadership roles. She is also on the board of the Minnesota Opera.
