In 1993, he moved to Fort Worth and became a partner in the Fort Worth firm of Kelly Hart & Hallman. Since 1993, his practice has been mainly limited to commercial litigation, legal malpractice defense or personal injury defense. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 1997. Similarly, Marshall has been voted one of the outstanding trial lawyers in Tarrant County by both Fort Worth Magazine and The Fort Worth Business Press. He has been voted one of the best lawyers in the State of Texas during the last several "Super Lawyer" polls conducted by Texas Super Lawyers magazine. In 2006, he was named one of the top 10 attorneys in Texas by Texas Monthly's annual Texas Super Lawyers magazine.
