Marsha J. Courchane, Vice President, is a member of CRA's Litigation and Applied Economics group and is based in our Washington D.C. office. Dr. Courchane specializes in litigation and regulatory activities with respect to housing financial lending practices. Prior to joining CRA, Dr. Courchane was a principal with ERS Group. There, her responsibilities included research in housing finance and analyses of subprime and predatory lending, red lining, and fair lending. Dr. Courchane held a number of academic and professional positions prior to joining ERS Group. Previously she served as Director of financial strategy and research in the housing economics and financial research department at Freddie Mac. Prior to that, she was Senior Financial Economist at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, focusing on fair lending and credit scoring matters for large national banks. Dr. Courchane has a number of papers and publications to her credit. She has refereed for a number of leading economics journals and has presented before many notable conferences and associations. |
