Description of Practice:
Marlene Moffitt is an associate in the firm's San Francisco office, where she is a member of the Litigation Department. Her previous legal experience includes representing client interests in settlement negotiations and proceedings, and drafting and arguing pleadings before state and federal judges in California and Delaware.
Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Marlene was an associate in the Bankruptcy Department at Kaye Scholer LLP, where she negotiated over 30 settlements in bankruptcy adversary actions, including a settlement of more than $1.1 million in the Winstar Telecommunications Chapter 7 case.
Educational History:
Marlene received her B.A. in Economics, cum laude and with high honors, from the University of California, San Diego, where she was a McNair Scholar and the recipient of the Departmental Highest Distinction Award. She received her J.D. from Loyola Law School and was awarded the First Honors Award in Contracts Law. During law school, Marlene worked as a law clerk in the Legal Department of Capital Research and Management Company, one of the nation's largest mutual fund companies. |
