Marlea Tichy joined Southwest Water Company in June 2007 as its corporate vice president for business planning. She provides coordination between the corporate office and the company’s critical initiatives and business improvement efforts. She brings proven experience in developing and implementing business management strategies.
Ms. Tichy spent the last seven years working in various senior level positions for MWH Global, $1-billion worldwide engineering consulting and construction firm that specializes in serving the municipal water and wastewater market. Most recently, she was project manager at MWH Global where she was asked to lead a critical $4 million capital IT project to provide a single platform for project management linking all aspects of global business with operations in 33 countries.
Earlier, as director of operations for MWH Business Solutions Group, she was responsible for developing strategy for a new business model and defining products and offerings for a new business line. In her primary role as chief operating officer for over five years with MWH Constructors, Inc., she helped grow the design/build company to over $250M annually, overseeing operations in the U.S. and the U.K. Her career also includes other significant positions in operations and project management for various engineering and constructing firms.
Ms. Tichy earned her bachelor of science degree in business administration and construction management from the University of Denver. She also holds an Executive Education Certificate from the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University and is a certified Project Management Professional. |
