Mark Woodruff is currently Executive Vice President and President of AES' Asia and Middle East region and Ahmed Pasha as Vice President of Investor Relations. Prior to his current position Mark was the Group Manager for the North America West division of AES and the Vice President of The AES Corporation. Since joining AES in 1991, Mark has held a variety of positions in engineering and construction management, project development and general management. Prior to leading the North America West Group, Mark led AES' businesses in Southern California and Hawaii. Prior to joining AES, Mark was part of a team that started Delmarva Capital Investments, the unregulated subsidiary of Delmarva Power & Light Company serving in various capacities. Mark served as General Manager of Burney Forest Products, an integrated sawmill and wood fired cogeneration facility in Shasta County, California, co-owned by DCI. Mark's previous experience include postings in generation, distribution and marketing for Delmarva's regulated utility as well as process engineering assignments at the Diamond Shamrock Corporation. Mark holds a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Delaware and has completed supplemental work in gas turbines and high speed fluid dynamics at NATO's Von Karman Institute in Belgium as well as Stanford Graduate School of Business. |
