Mr. Wood joined BioMarin in May 2004 and currently serves as the vice president of Human Resources. He is responsible for oversight of all strategies and processes by which BioMarin hires, retains, and rewards outstanding talent. Prior to joining BioMarin, he was the sole proprietor of an HR consulting practice for two years, assisting clients in the areas of compensation, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and general HR. Prior to initiating his consulting practice, he was the vice president of Human Resources & Administration for AG Consulting, a global professional services firm, from 1998 to 2002; the manager of compensation and quantitative analysis at Genentech from 1993 to 1998; and held a variety of HR positions at Wells Fargo Bank from 1991 to 1993. Mr. Wood holds a Master's degree in Industrial and Labor Relations degree from Cornell University, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Management from the State University of New York at Buffalo. |
