Mr. Weiss is a Managing Director of J.E. Robert Company Inc. and President of JER Investors Trust Inc. Mr. Weiss has responsibility for the origination and acquisition of subordinate CMBS B-notes and mezzanine loans triple net leases and other assets which fit the profile of our investment parameters. He is a member of our Investment Committee and the JER Fund Investment Committee. Mr. Weiss joined JER from Goldman Sachs where he worked for sixteen years. Mr. Weiss most recently served as Managing Director of Goldman Sachs’ Fixed Income Division responsible for commercial and residential mortgage originations and securitizations. Mr. Weiss helped manage the lending in excess of $10 billion against a wide variety of commercial real estate assets including hotels office retail industrial and land.
Mr. Weiss received a B.A. in Economics and Math from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
