Mark Stevens serves as a Director of many companies including Beceem, Chelsio, Velogix, Greenfield Networks, Miradia, Mobile Peak and NVIDIA (NVDA). In the past, Stevens was a Director of Aspect Development (merged with i2 Technologies), AtWeb (acquired by Netscape, AOL), BillPoint (acquired by eBay), Commquest (acquired by IBM), MP3.com (acquired by Vivendi Universal), Pixelworks (PXLW), QuickLogic (QUIK), StratumOne (acquired by Cisco), Summit Design (SMMT), and Terayon Communications (TERN). During his career, Stevens has been responsible for Sequoia Capital's investments in Documentum (DCTM) and Quickturn (acquired by Cadence Design). In addition, Stevens is a board member of the Venture Capital Advisory Board for the Fabless Semiconductor Association, as well as a past President of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists (WAVC). He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Southern California and the chairman of the Stanford University Department of Athletics Venture Fund (DAPER). Before joining Sequoia Capital in 1989, Stevens held technical and field sales positions at Intel and was a member of the technical staff at Hughes Aircraft. Stevens has a BSEE, a BA in economics and an MS in computer engineering from the University of Southern California and an MBA from Harvard Business School. |
