Mark Stevens focuses on semiconductor, software and systems-related investments. Mark is a Director of Beceem, Chelsio, Greenfield Networks, Miradia, MobilePeak, NVIDIA (NVDA), Velogix and Xceive, and is responsible for our investment in Magnachip. He was a Director of Aspect Development (merged with i2 Technologies), AtWeb (acquired by Netscape, AOL), BillPoint (acquired by eBay), Commquest (acquired by IBM), MP3.com (acquired by Vivendi Universal), Pixleworks (PXLW), QuickLogic (QUIK), StratumOne (acquired by Cisco), Summit Design (SMMT), and Terayon Communications (TERN). Mark also has been responsible for Sequoia Capital's investments in Documentum (DCTM) and Quickturn (acquired by Cadence Design).He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Southern California. In addition, Mark is Chairman of the Stanford University Department of Athletics Venture Fund (DAPER) and a board member of the Venture Capital Advisory Board for the Fabless Semiconductor Association, as well as past president of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists (WAVC). Before joining Sequoia Capital in 1989, he held technical and field sales positions at Intel and was a member of the technical staff at Hughes Aircraft.Mark has a BSEE, a BA in Economics and an MS in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California and an MBA from Harvard Business School. |
