Mark Skaletsky, has been a director since November 2003. Mr. Skaletsky has been President, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Trine Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (f/k/a Essential Therapeutics, Inc.) since March 2001. From 1993 to 2000, Mr. Skaletsky was the President and Chief Executive Officer of GelTex Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which was acquired by Genzyme Corporation in 2000. Prior to that, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Enzytech, Inc. and as President and Chief Operating Officer of Biogen, Inc. Mr. Skaletsky serves on the Board of Directors of ImmunoGen, Inc., Alkermes, Inc. and Targacept, Inc., is a member of the Board of Trustees of Bentley College and also serves on its Board of Directors and is the former Chairman of the Biotechnology Industry Organization. |
