Along with being an active physician with Altru’s Surgical Services, Dr. Mark Siegel is the Medical Director of Surgery. He has been employed with Altru Health System since 1978.
Dr. Siegel received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1969 and his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine in 1973. He was an Intern in surgery at the Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri until 1974 and was an Assistant Resident in surgery at the same hospital until 1976. Dr. Siegel was the Senior Registrar Associate in General Surgery at the General Hospital in Birmingham, England, in 1977, until he moved back to St. Louis, Missouri, and was the Chief Resident in Surgery at Barnes Hospital. Dr. Siegel is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. |
