Rumer maintains a reputation as one of the industry’s leading experts in analog and packet telephony solutions. Rumer’s experience as a Systems Architect for Cisco Systems included pioneering the company’s Voice over IP technology. For that accomplishment he was recognized as a Cisco Pioneer of Technology for excellence in Packet Telephony Applications. Rumer was also responsible for driving Cisco’s development of digital signal processing technology with third-party silicon vendors and developing innovative processes to significantly shorten product development time. Prior to joining Cisco Rumer worked at StrataCom where he was awarded three patents for developing a voice fax and modem over ATM protocol and a unified ATM system control bus for a distributed switching architecture. Rumer began his career in 1985 at N.E.T. as a Senior Hardware Engineer. |
