Mark Quallen has more than twenty five years experience in the electric power generation, energy and related fields. For five years he was a principal at Court Street Investments ("CSI"), which focused on purchasing under performing hydroelectric assets from owners and financial institutions, and then restructuring financing, correcting engineering flaws, and providing project management skills to increase market value. In five years , CSI acquired six projects in three states. Prior to his involvement with CSI, Mr. Quallen worked for three years as an independent consultant. He was retained to supervise the sale of an independent power producer with assets of over $200 million, and conducted auction, negotiated terms, and assisted in all phases of documentation and closing, which occurred in July 1997. Earlier in his career Mr. Quallen was Co-Founder, President and CEO of Hydro Development Group Inc. ("HDG"). HDG was one of the first independent power producers spawned by PURPA and was a pioneer in the redevelopment of abandoned or underutilized low-head hydroelectric projects.
