Mark Perry is a General Partner of NEA. Mark joined NEA in October 1995 and became a general partner in June 1996. He focuses on information technology investments. His current portfolio responsibilities include: Alien Technology, Cendura Corporation, CreekPath Systems, Inc., Glacier Bay, Interlace Systems, New Path Ventures LLC, newScale, Inc., ProStor Systems, Reshape, Inc., Telsima, TestMart, Inc., Think3, TiVo, Inc. (NASDAQ: TIVO) and TGC (TiVo Greater China). Previous board memberships include among others, Growth Networks (acquired by Cisco Systems), Hyperion Solutions (NASDAQ: HYSL), iManage (acquired by Interwoven), Magma Design Automation (NASDAQ: LAVA), Silicon Graphics (NASDAQ: SGI), Silicon Spice (acquired by Broadcom), Trading Dynamics (acquired by Ariba) and WarpSpeed Communications (acquired by Enron). From April 1994 to December 1995, Mark served as President and Chief Executive Officer and then as Chairman of Viewstar Corporation. From 1985 to 1994, he was an executive with Silicon Graphics, Inc., Vice Chairman (1992-1994) responsible for worldwide field operations, Executive Vice President (1988-1991) responsible for the product division, and Vice President of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer (1985-1987). Prior to this, Mark was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Sonoma Vineyards and a partner at Arthur Young & Company. He is a Certified Public Accountant in California. Mark received a Masters in Business Administration (with distinction) from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (cum laude) from Amherst College. He is also a member of the board of KQED, the public broadcasting station for Northern California. |
