Mr. Patterson is the Chairman of MatlinPatterson Global Advisors LLC, a global private equity firm, which he co-founded in July 2002 in a spin-off from Credit Suisse First Boston. Mr. Patterson is also a Director of Allied World Assurance Company. Mr. Patterson has over 30 years of commercial, investment and merchant banking experience. Prior to the formation of MatlinPatterson Global Advisors LLC, Mr. Patterson was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he served as Vice Chairman from 2000 to 2002. Mr. Patterson holds a BA (Law) - 1972 and a BA Honors (Economics) - 1974 from South Africa's Stellenbosch University and an MBA (with distinction) - 1986 from New York University's Stern School of Business. |
