Mark Palazzo is the Vice President and General Manager of the Access Networks Business Unit at Scientific Atlanta, a Cisco company. Palazzo has been instrumental in leading the growth and competitiveness of the access businesses for Scientific Atlanta over the last nine years. In addition to leading the transitions from RF to hybrid-fiber-coax and analog-only networks to analog/digital to all digital, he also made significant contributions to the growth in Scientific Atlanta’s international business.
Palazzo joined Scientific Atlanta in 1993 after having spent two years as a contract engineer in the company’s London office. He worked for three years in Scientific Atlanta’s International Division and was an integral part of the team that drove the company’s expansion into global broadband markets. He subsequently held the positions of Manager of International Applications Engineering, Product Line Marketing Manager, and Director and General Manager of the RF Electronics Business Unit.
Palazzo has been in the broadband cable industry for over 20 years, having held various leadership positions with several multiple system network operators. He received his MBA from Georgia State University and attended St. Thomas University in Miami, FL. |
