Mark G. Nelson joined the Nelson Family of Companies in 1988 after spending several years with the San Francisco office of Price Waterhouse and Company. Mark is a California Certified Public Accountant and graduated from the University of San Francisco with a B.S. in Accounting in 1985. Mark founded the Accountants Plus (now known as Nelson and Associates) division in 1988 to fill clients' needs for a variety of accounting and finance professionals. He became Vice President of Nelson in 1990 and then President and Chief Operating Officer in 1995. Mark has played a primary role in the initiation, development and growth of the Nelson businesses including Nelson Technology, the former ABE and Nelson and Associates. He has held a myriad of positions within the Nelson Family of Companies including Account Executive, Branch Manager, Regional Manager and Vice President.Over the years Mark has been instrumental in directing critical elements of the business including strategic planning, sales and marketing, operations, recruitment and retention, and administration. Mark is a strong community advocate and has held Board positions for a number of not-for-profits, including Bread and Roses and the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce. He resides in San Rafael, California, along with his wife Stacy and son Aidan. |
