Mark Leslie served as Chairman of the Board of VERITAS Software (NASDQ:VRTS) from 1997 through 2001. He began at the company in 1988 as a director and became president and founding CEO when VERITAS was restarted as a software company in 1990. During his tenure as CEO, VERITAS went from 12 to 5,500 employees and attained Fortune 1000 status. Prior to VERITAS Mark served as president and chief executive officer of two Silicon Valley high-tech start up companies and has experience in both engineering and sales in the computer industry. He currently sits on the boards of three public companies: Brocade Communications (NASDQ:BRCD), Keynote Systems (NASDQ:KEYN), and Avaya Corporation (NYSE:AV). Mark is also a director of several privately held high-technology corporations, including Kenamea Software Corporation, PostX Corporation, VMware and Zaplet Corporation. Mark received a BA in physics and mathematics from New York University in 1966 and completed Harvard Business School's program for management development in 1980. |
