Mr. Leslie is currently the managing director of Leslie Ventures, a private investment company. He is also an adjunct professor at Stanford Graduate School of Business and Stanford University - Graduate Engineering.
Mr. Leslie served as chairman of the board of Veritas Software Corporation until December 2001 and remains on the board as a director. Mr. Leslie joined the board of directors of Veritas in May of 1988, and became the president and founding CEO when Veritas was restarted as a software company in 1990. He added the title of chairman in April of 1997. In November of 2000, upon the hiring of a new CEO, Mr. Leslie relinquished the roles of president and CEO.
From 1989 until 1990, he was the principal and owner of Leslie Consulting, a management-consulting firm, and from 1984 until 1989, he served as president and CEO of Rugged Digital Systems, Inc., a computer manufacturer.
Mr. Leslie is also a member of the board of Network Appliance, Inc. and a number of privately held technology companies.
Mr. Leslie received a B.A. in physics and mathematics in 1966 from New York University and completed Harvard Business School's program for management development in 1980. |
